A Little About North York Moors and Coast

The North Yorkshire Moors National Park and the Yorkshire Coast offer some phenomenal holiday opportunities, with outstanding views over moorland and out to the North Sea, as well as amazing sandy beaches.

Popular towns and villages include Whitby, Scarborough, Bridlington, Filey and Robin Hood’s Bay, but incredible stays can be enjoyed off the beaten track too.

There’s truly something for everyone in this region.

A Little About York

York is the 5th most popular tourist destination city in the whole of the UK, after London and Edinburgh, and spending just a few short moments in the city, it is easy to see why.

From the iconic and historic “Shambles” – an ancient and fascinating street which harks back to times long since past – to the incredible York Minster, the city is steeped in history.

As a location which was the home to two Roman emperors – the seat of the mighty Roman Empire – York is a special place surrounded by city walls which make for an excellent viewpoint.

There’s so much to see and do in the city of York AND the surrounding amazing Yorkshire countryside (also see holiday accommodation in Yorkshire Dales for another follow-up trip worth taking), that you should stay for at least a week, and explore… and you’ll want to come back for more.
